Derek received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2016. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2013. Derek is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. Derek is trained to treat all injuries and pathologies of the human body, as well as provide all individuals with strength and conditioning programs to reach optimal performance. Derek has been practicing Physical Therapy in Southwest Florida for over 2 years. Prior to that, Derek spent two years serving as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Florida Tarpons, an arena football league team in Fort Myers. Derek believes in working with each client to determine an individualized treatment plan to help the client meet their goals. His hands on approach, is focused on addressing the client’s current limitations, as well as prevention of future re-injury. In his free time, Derek enjoys living an active lifestyle which includes working out, playing basketball, and fishing.

Ben received his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training degree at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) in 2015. While at FGCU, Ben had clinical rotations with the Minnesota Twins, Ave Maria University football and basketball teams, and Collier County High School athletics. Ben worked for Naples Community Hospital as an athletic trainer providing medical care for student athletes in the Collier County area. Ben has also provided medical coverage for various athletic sporting events such as Perfect Game Baseball, A-Sun Baseball tournament, and Football University.

 

Ben has a specialization in treating musculoskeletal injuries and conditions experienced by athletes. He utilizes a multi-faceted approach to treat clients resolve their physical ailments and help them lead a healthier, more productive quality of life.

 

In his free time, Ben loves to stay active by playing beach volleyball and golfing.

Alex is a passionate Licensed Athletic Trainer with a strong foundation in rehabilitation, strength training and sport conditioning. She holds dual undergraduate degrees in Athletic Training and Exercise Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2014), where she also was a contributing member of the Women’s Lacrosse team. She continued her academic journey pursuing a Master of Science in Recreation & Sport Management from Florida International University (2014-2016) as a graduate assistant. Alex's career includes roles as an Athletic Trainer at Coastal Carolina University (2016-2017), Gulf Coast State College (2017-2020), AFSOC funded tactical Human Performance Program (2020-2023), and with the active and highly motivated population of Southwest Florida (2023-present). She has joined the PhysioRight team in 2024 where she can utilize her innovative and holistic approach treating various conditions, while also promoting movement-oriented rehabilitation, recovery and lifelong well-being.


Alex’s dedication to health and wellness extends beyond her career, as she enjoys paddle boarding, sprint triathlons, and traveling. Outside of work you can often find her exploring a new part of Florida or eating local grub with her husband, Kenny, and their dog, Kona.
